Great literary works retain their popularity as a result of many different factors. One such factor which can lead to popularity of a work, current or consistent discussion of a work's merits, can come into play when an author or playwright leaves questions unanswered in his work. In Hamlet, William Shakespeare creates such a situation. As a result of the ambiguity of clues given throughout this play, critics may argue for or against the idea that Prince Hamlet's "antic disposition" put on as a facade to mislead the royal family pales in comparison to the disposition of Hamlet's lunatic mind, or in other words, that Hamlet in fact truly succumbs to insanity. Evidence for this opinion can be derived from Hamlet's erratic mood changes, careless slaughter of those not directly involved in the murder of his father, and interactions with the ghost of King Hamlet. For a man thought to be feigning insanity, Prince Hamlet seems to have very little control of his emotions. In fact, Hamlet admits this to Horatio, his confidant, when he says, "Sir, in my heart there was a kind of fighting / That would not let me sleep" (5.2. lines 4-5). This lack of restraint leads to Hamlet's unpredictable mood swings throughout the play. Hamlet's relationship with Ophelia easily spawns such dramatic alterations in the prince's attitude. For example, when Hamlet first suspects Ophelia acts only as the pawn for Polonius's ploys, he reacts rashly, bitterly denying that he ever loved her. "You should not have believed me, for virtue cannot so / inoculate our old stock, but we shall relish of it. I loved / you not" (3.1.117-19). This massive reversal in disposition is later contrasted by another reversal when Hamlet leaps into Ophelia's open grave at her funeral to dispute Laertes and claim, "I loved Ophelia, forty thousand brothers / Could no t with all their quantity of love / Make up my sum" (5.1.252-54). These abrupt mood changes also appear in Hamlet's relationship with his mother. He seemed to believe in his mother's purity and goodness, but eventually Hamlet seems to hold a great mount of contempt for Gertrude, especially when he mocks her words, and then snidely proclaims: "You are the queen, your husband's brother's wife, / And would it were not so, you are my mother" (3.4.15-16). Such mood swings as these definitely prove, if anything, that Hamlet could not keep adequate control of his emotions.

The ecosystems has constantly undergone modifications by humans not only as a consequence of population expansion but also due to enhanced technological know how and human consumption. It is the human race that has in the past destroyed habitats, polluted his own environment that has adversely changed the atmosphere hence threatening global stability. Experts have further warned that these observable negative impacts could see the ecosystem undergo irreversible damages if not quickly addressed. Wood and wood products for instance, form the fundamental economic gain from forests but it is also worth noting that most forest zones are the major water catchment points and since water is life, then, it is only fair to preserve forests so as to support life. The human race has therefore developed interest in the study of his environment with the intention of understanding it better. These studies have not been fruitless sine certain scientific fields like ecology which deeply analyses living organisms in relation to each other and their physical environment have significantly improved man’s understanding of the ecosystem by bringing out clearly the vital roles of specific organisms in the universe. Through this information, man has comprehended that his survival depends on the other part of the system as well. The principle â€Å"Energy is neither created nor destroyed† suggests the capacity of the earth’s self renewal but also raises a particular concern over nonrenewable energy resources that are fast getting depleted! It is for this noble purpose that various nations have set up their own policies on environmental conservation with the major aim of achieving better and healthy lives for their citizens now and in the future. However some countries like Iraq and others in record have no restrictions to various areas considered ‘special’ environmentally especially considering the fact that some wildlife in those parts are at a risk of getting extinct. This therefore brings the big debate on whether its really necessary to conserve our environment? Since the mid-nineteenth century, the globe has recorded increasing mean atmospheric temperatures, a phenomenon attributed to the emission at extremely high levels, of greenhouse gases. This warming trend has been traced to originate from human activities. As much as we are fast to point blame on industries and other businesses, research has it that everyone creates pollution through various activities that we undertake daily and therefore contribute to the level of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This is because every manufactured product finds its way to us and by all means leaves behind some carbon footprint however small (John Darabaris, 2007). Thus man being aware of the deadly impacts of this phenomenon on his environment is constantly struggling to reduce carbon footprint to he smallest possible amounts. Modern science has sophisticated instrumentation that can precisely predict harsh weather events that may result from global warming. Industrialization that has seen man adopt modern farming techniques, improved infrastructure amongst many other human practices is here to stay and even advance further, yet it must be controlled and channeled appropriately into activities that will not deplete the scarce resources. History has it that man, through industrialization, has enhanced erosion activities at the coast and affected the duration of planting seasons in many agriculturally dependant zones, thanks to the constantly warming globe. Human race is very much aware that if these trends persist, more destructive and violent storms are yet to be observed, dreadful and deadly diseases are also likely to attack depending on the new temperatures of the earth which may favor the existence of new pathogens. This not only poses human race at great risk but also predicts real danger to the vast resources that we have on earth. Permafrost for instance, is a major factor that controls several environmental processes and thus changes in nutrients, water content and even temperature will for sure have some effect on the soil composition (Bolter, M. 1999). It is also expected that a warmer globe will initiate more energy to be pumped into tropical storms hence developing stronger and more destructive and vicious storms. The warm condition also, according to scientific predictions, could make earth observe long periods of drought and this will definitely cause global food shortages. Such persistent drought conditions also put the globe at the risk of experiencing more wild fires that will destroy property and other natural resources. Wildlife is one of the most treasured natural resource not only because of its economic importance but also because of its aesthetic value and ecological significance. However, the current trajectory path traced by global warming effects could result into the extinction of rare planet species that would otherwise fail to adapt to the new environment due to the shift in ecosystem. The physical topography is not spared either since man now understands that the warming trend has significantly speeded the melting of polar ice bringing along with it severe and unbearable weather conditions. Science and engineering technology has significantly contributed to the advancement of humanity thereby increasing the understanding of our world, ambitions and inspirations, and our ability to satisfy our diverse needs in our lifetime (Clift, 1998). Our survival on the planet earth will indeed to a great extent depend on how we effectively relate to all the other living organisms and even to the physical environment. As much as man has been innovative, new technologies do come with diverse environmental challenges. The increasing world population for instance, has seen a significant rise in energy demand. A clean and reliable yet sustainable energy source is thus essential to meet this demand, the selection of which must be carefully made. Innovative solutions are therefore called upon from the concern industrial sectors, governments and even communities. Europe, America, China, India and other industrialized nations depend almost entirely on fossil fuels; the developing nations are reportedly increasing their consumption of the same! Arguably, the methods used to produce and consume these fuels are not the best and have significantly contributed to the destruction of the ecosystem. It is for this reason that man has used the available technology to develop alternative means of producing energy with minimal or no impact at all on the environment. Using this knowledge man has resorted to energy sources that are found naturally in the environment (Carroll, 1993). For instance, using solar panels has made it possible to harness solar energy safely into viable use. This is a significant step made in protecting and saving the environment since it does not cause pollution and is also considered an infinite source of energy. However, this invention came with its own challenges such as unpredictable climatic patterns especially in the twentieth century , a phenomenon associated to global warming thereby forcing man to diversify into other energy sources such as the nuclear energy, wind power, sea power amongst many others. Nuclear power alone has attracted many developed countries with most of them claiming it is the answer to the global energy crisis. The only controversy that arises on nuclear energy production is the after effects it has on the environment. Storing and effectively damping radioactive material for as long as a thousand years is still a threat to the environment and the planet at large. Most people are now aware of various threats resulting from environmental problems. Many people are reported to panic in some cases, though it makes them have a clear understanding of the necessity to conserve and protect the little we have or else face permanent destruction from the cruel nature we have created. Since we can’t afford to despair, this extraordinary times calls for extraordinary solutions that promises a better tomorrow. Experts have issued warnings about the changing climate for example, and our understanding is that we have the solution with us. Therefore, by taking individual responsibility, there is hope, these damages can either be slowed down or completely reversed (Engel, 1990). The current generation understands so well that the generation tomorrow will enjoy the natural resources we have today only if we live in a sustainable way and this is irrespective of whatever modernity dictates. Indeed, with this kind of rapid loss of biodiversity, the global community full of researchers and practioneers must move with speed before the situation gats out of hand (Jacobson 1995). By conserving the resources and managing them sustainably, the future is secure of having clean water, clean energy, clean air and even fertile soils for productive agriculture. Modern man has also realized that diversity in culture and biological diversity are greatly linked (Mc Neely, 1995). Different societies within this very globe possess very unique cultural practices, beliefs and knowledge about the environment that is very valuable especially in solving certain environmental problems. Redesigning industrial systems to obtain safe technology reduces waste and encourages recycling of refuse in biological lines. This is a concept full of hope that will see the world maximize the use of raw materials, reduce the consumption of energy and with minimal or no negative impacts on the environment (D. Worsher, 1977). Different cultures for example, find different uses of different plans which essentially constitute the ecosystem. By preserving the diverse or sometimes complex cultural practices and lifeways, biological systems will then be protected in the process. It is imperative to note that human beings have constantly adjusted and adapted to their environment almost simultaneously as it changes. This justifies the argument by scholars that ‘nature and culture are indivisible’ and thus the necessity to narrow down human ecology to the analyses of socio-natural systems (Bennett, 1996). Due to fundamental shifts in the interrelationship between industrialization and the other part of the ecosystem, experts have identified possible radical changes that may accompany these historical moments and therefore suggested thorough rebuilding of all industrial systems. Mediterranean region for example, has been greatly eroded due to poor farming methods like overgrazing and deforestation. Siltation and salanization are also some observable effects from irrigation activity at the region (Hillel, 1991). Different regions thus have dispatched relevant authorities to help sensitize and educate the communities living around such valuable resources on the importance of conservation measures and proper management. Conservation of the environment is therefore not debatable if the treasured human race needs to protect its self against possible harm in the future. The rapid race at which global climate has changed, the ever expanding global population amongst many other critical environmental declines are some of the critical issues that need addressing as a mater of urgency. Intensive research work carried out by various scientific groups indicates for instance, that the world losses 22 million acres forest area yearly (Elizabeth, 2006). Similarly, very toxic chemicals find their way into the atmosphere yearly some of which last over decades in the environment. It is therefore very serious to realize that we are obviously threatened when our natural resources are threatened since we greatly depend as major sources of medicine, food, shelter, fuel, just to mention a few. Nature is known to be unforgiving and respects no boundaries; environmental problems threaten global economy, health and even security. The tropical forests which are rapidly disappearing hold the source of close to twenty-five percent of prescription drugs (George P, 1973). A world without energy, food, safe clean water or inhabitable environment exposes its people to political unrest as well as economic instability. This could see the world spend an enormous sum of money inform of peacekeeping, humanitarian aid or even in attempt to revive global markets. With this kind of understanding, man has realized the significance of working together with a lot of commitment by all countries to provide lasting solutions to fundamental problems and also offer sustainable management of the scarce natural resources. Essay about Teachers Every single one of us has to deal with teachers at one point or another in our life. We usually encounter this type of people for the first time when we go to school. Being unprepared and clueless children of 5-7 years of age, we are being carried over from parents to our next biggest authority, the teacher. From that time on we have to get used to meeting new people and getting along with them. Some teachers are helpful and understanding, others are overly demanding and uncompromising. Some give you invaluable life lessons, and others do more harm than good. And yet, even the latter ones facilitate your learning process, albeit in their own convoluted way. Teachers are supposed to help us learn certain subjects, but they often do more than that. They give us an idea of what the real world would be like. Good teachers do that consciously, while bad teachers do that involuntarily. So, what should we do if we come across a bad teacher? Depending on situation, I would suggest looking for somebody more competent to replace him/her, if that is possible (you usually have a chance to do that, when attending a certain training course or taking individual lessons), or if not (we don’t normally have much choice as far as teachers in high schools and universities are concerned), try to make the best of the experience. Consider it an interesting challenge. Just imagine how, after you learn to deal with this person, it will be easy for you to communicate with other difficult individuals. Unfortunately, you cannot avoid meeting unpleasant people in your life. There are a lot of nice and kind characters in this world, but there are also a lot of them who are not so nice. In your working life you will meet a wide variety of people. Not all of them are going to be pleasant, and that’s when your experience with a bad teacher will be of use.

S$1. 00 is the Primary Ones and Twos‘ pocket money for a day and they could not possibly spent all their money on one sausage! Bad Attitude To Children: The second issue is our school vendors’ attitude. Being in Primary Six, I seldom encountered someone scolding me or trying to cheat me of my money. However, I do often see lower primary pupils, especially the Primary Ones and Twos, being have to bear the vendor’s temper when he or she was feeling not particularly well. Once, I was queuing at the snack store when I saw a Primary One girl. She handed up 50 cents for something that costs 70 cents. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the store owner reply that the snack costs 70 cents and pointed to a sign behind the snacks that labelled â€Å"S$0. 0†. â€Å"Read! † the vendor had said impatiently, eyes bulging. The girl took back her money and backed away fearfully. I think that the vendor should not behave like that. Most likely, the girl did not learn to recognize money yet and could not count the amount. The vendor should have patiently told her that what she handed was 50 cents and not 70 cents and help he r find the money. Slow Serving: The third problem is one that pupils of all levels come across, that the vendors are too slow at serving. Once, my friends and I were dismissed late. We tried to grab a chicken chop from the second stall. I did not want to eat anything else. We queued for 15 minutes before we were served, and were almost late for class. I noted that the vendors, especially the new store number 2, â€Å"Asian Favorites†, was very casual in their movements. The second store so-called â€Å"aunties† often stopped what they were doing to talk to each other, and their movements were as slow as you can get. Conclusion: Perhaps the school could install â€Å"Satisfactory Testers† at the side of each stall. These machines comprise of two buttons, one smiley face and one sad face. If the number of smiley faces for the stall each month is above 50% of the total number replies, the stall could remain. If the stall had less than 50% smiley faces for two consecutive months, the school could change the vendor. This way, we would have included the whole school’s judgement. The qualities of leadership would help the person in judging and performing well in the long run (Dvir et al. 2015). Leadership is a process that helps n influencing others to attain the objective and directions that has been stated by the organization. An ideal leader is the most efficient one in framing the structure of the organization that would lead them in achieving the stated goals and objectives of the firm. Leaders are the ones who remind the subsidiaries regarding the missions and visions of the firm. The report is related leadership qualities that must be followed by the individuals to attain power and influence over the others. Power and influence has both positive and negative aspects. An efficient leader is the one who analyses its attributes in such a manner, so that the subsidiaries take their power to be quite positive in nature, thereby raising their productivity. This report is divided into three parts. The first part, self analysis, deals with three results of the diagnostic tools that have been implemented in order to highlight the positive and negative qualities of the individual. The second part is related to the literature review, that would help in accessing the researches that has been performed till date. Lastly, conclusion and an action plan is created based on the personal strong attributes that has been analysed by the individual. This would provide the one with a projected path of future success. Self-Analysis Leadership is a process that is adhered in monitoring a group of people to attain success. Skills, knowledge and characteristics of an individual make them the ideal leader. It is quite vital for the individual to pertain its strengths and weaknesses that would help them in future to express power and influence over others (Quinn et al. 2012). In order to analyze the personal traits in me, I had conducted three diagnostic tests, whose results have made it quite clear for me to analyze my future path of projection. The three tests that I have undertaken are Quinn Management Tool, Emotional Intelligence Test and Situational Leadership Analysis. Quinn Management Tool: Quinn management test of an individual offers an insight to an individual in order to analyze their strengths and weaknesses regarding a particular management role to be played. This tool had been designed an developed by Robert e. Quinn. Eight roles of an individual is identified in this analyses that would provide the effectiveness of the role which would be played by the person (McCleskey 2014). The eight attributes that are stated in this management tool are innovator, broker, producer, monitor, facilitator, director, coordinator and mentor. After submitting, the questionnaire provided during this test, these eight characteristics would help in stating the primary and the important factors that might affect our leadership roles to be played. The self analysis report that has been pertained while performing the test states that the associated percentage with regards to the eight character are as follows : mentor (91%), broker (87%), producer (82%) director ( 82%), monitor (82%), coordinator (76%), facilitator (69%) and innovator (67%). My major traits being a leader would be of being a mentor to all. It would be quite easier for me to analyze the power and influence of others. I focus on people development where I am helping, caring, sensitive, approachable, open and just. I help the subsidiaries to get motivated by praising their handwork and complimenting them in public. I believe in providing people with opportunities of learning better skills that would further help in the enhancement of the productivity in the organization. I encourage cooperation and communication between the people in the firm. I am well aware of contact handling techniques in order to overcome the disputed between the individuals at work. I am task oriented and I focus on the work being provided in the end of the production process. I aim at showing involvement, achievement, motivation, energy and personal involvement. Being a director, I aim at specifying clear er objectives to the team by taking a decisive initiative in the group. It is quite vital for me to know all the matters that prevail within the organization. I recognize the importance of pertaining changes that are necessary in the environment of work place. Emotional Intelligence Test: the emotional intelligence test is a questionnaire that has been prepared by the hay group under Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) (Golema, Boyatzis and McKee 2013). Emotional intelligence provides an individual with the capacity to recognize their own feelings and that of others, in order to motivate both themselves and their surroundings. This test helps in analyzing the interpersonal skills that an individual has thereby analyzing the ability or personality preferences of that individual. the emotional intelligence tool highlights the areas of self awareness, social awareness, self management and relationship management. I scored a 120 score on the test, which shows that I have a flawless attitude towards managing an organization being an efficient leader. this shows that I have can control the group easily and motivate them to overcome various hurdles in the organization. with slight improvements with regards to communication ability, I can be an ideal example of an efficient leader. Situational Leadership Analysis: situational leadership analysis provides an individual with an incentive to analyze its future role, this future role a leader or a management body of an organization (Lankshear et al. 2013). The score that I got after answering the questions of the questionnaire was 83 out of 100. This shows that I have a clear direction to be implemented by the organization in order to communicate and execute the plans. I have the ability to convince the people at workplace that would help them in achieving the targeted goal. By analyzing the three diagnostic tests based upon the leadership qualities of the person, my main objectives would be identifying the factors that could help me in portraying power and influence over the team members in a positive manner. Based on my experiences I can easily analyze my shortcomings of being a leader or under the management group of the organization. It would help me in stating the points where I can improve my skills in future. During my internship as an assistant manager in a furniture manufacturing company, there were various situations where I had to incorporate my leadership qualities. One such incident was when I had to motivate the laborers to improve their production capacity. Second incident was to hold a meeting among the board of directors by stating them the strategical implementations needed in the organization for future betterment. These two incidents had been helpful for me to highlight the places where I should work more. These two incidents have tau ght me how I should increase my communication with the subsidiaries and raise my motivational level in order to exercise power and influence over others. Literature Review Numerous explanations, theories, classifications and definitions regarding leadership qualities of an individual has been analyzed in the contemporary literature so far. Literature of leadership reveals various theories that has been refined and modified along with the passage of time. Several factors would help an individual in making an efficient leader. Among those factors, one of the most important aspects of an efficient leader is the individuals capability in exercising power over the others (Nohria and Khurana 2013). Traits theory often concludes that leaders share some common personalities. That is helpful in instigating a sense of motivation among the subsidiaries. Various behavioral theories focus on how the leaders should behave while accessing their powers over the teammates. There are three kinds of leaders, autocratic, democratic and laissez faire leaders. Autocratic leaders take decisions their decisions without consulting it with their teams (Rabarison Ingram and Holsinger Jr 2013). These decisions are taken by the leaders in order to come to quick decisive factors. Democratic leaders allow their team members to input their views, before taking up any decisions in the team. Laissez fair leaders are the ones who do not interfere at all. They allow the team members to take all the decisions. Depending upon the capabilities of the team, the leaders can choose any one of these three types. Every leader is associated to a particular theory, which can be observed in their way of attaining the objectives of the firm by maintaining the role of an ideal leader. Some leaders follow the footsteps of other successful leaders. This is known as action centered leadership model. Situational leadership model helps in analyzing the ability of a particular individual in analyzing the skills of leadership (Parris and Peachey 2013). They perform according to the synopsis that has been faced by them. The contingency theory argues that there is no single way that could lead to an efficient management system (Lussier and Achua, 2015). Every leadership style is based on certain situations that help in signifying the performance of the individual. Contingency leadership theories are considered as an extension of trait theory as human traits are related to the theory. It is generally accepted within the contingency theories that leader are more likely to express their leadership when they feel that their followers will be responsive. The researchers have further divided the form of leadership as transformational and transactional. According to transactional leadership, transaction is made between the leader and the follower. It follows a positive mutual beneficiary relationship (Northouse, 2015). Transactional leadership is based upon the motivational values where the leader must find various means to reward its subsidiaries. This would help the leader in attaining the attention and loyalty of the members in the association. Transformational leadership on the other hand states that the process by which people interact with others and thereby create a strong relationship between each other (Price and Weiss 2013). This relationship helps in attaining the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in both the leaders and followers. The essence of transformational theories is that leaders transform their followers through their inspirational nature and charismatic personalities. The theories associated with leadership helps in setting the objectives of the individual. One of the most important objectives of an ideal leader is to attain power and influence over the others (Dinh et al. 2014). This attribute can leave both positive and negative impact on the people who follow the leader. Power and influence should be exercised over the followers in the correct manner. There must be ample of communication and motivation done among the leaders and their followers. This would make the followers to readily agree and understand regarding the long term plans of the leader (Tourish 2014). These long term plans would help in implementing the daily work with greater efficiency. Power and influence aims at promoting a successful leadership quality within an individual. This would help in promoting the skills of managing the group within an individual. Power could be termed as a positive or a negative term. This term can have mixed impacts on the followers. Power refers to the potential capability of an individual leader, thereby influencing certain specific methods of achieving success among other (Antonakis and House 2014). This would help in pertaining success in managing the team with positivism around. Power and influence can be exercised in a positive manner using various aspects. Among these aspects, the vital ones are communicating with the members of the group. A positive communication would help in delivering the ideas to the people, thereby reframing the opinions and influencing the followers. Motivating people would help them in guiding the path of the subsidiaries, raising their skills and gaining the confidence of others (Avolio and Yammarino 20 13). Hence, it could be stated that with the help of various theories on leadership skills, an individual can aim at striving for the ideal objectives that would help in attaining a successful framework of being a leader. Conclusion Leadership traits within an individual are a skill, which is achieved with experience. Expecting perfect leadership traits in an individual without any experience is considered as an absurd misconception. Leadership qualities can be implemented by analyzing the areas of weakness and strengths within the person and then promoting activities that would enhance the areas where gaining success is easier. A mark of a good leader is someone who can see the bigger picture, and anticipate problems before they occur. This is a valuable skill to have when handlingcomplexprojects with tight deadlines. The ability to foresee and provide suggestions for avoiding potential problems is invaluable for a leader. This ability also helps to recognize opportunities that others overlook, which will certainly earn you recognition. From my personal experiences gained, I can state that I am a good mentor, with the ability of persuading people into the correct path. I appreciate my subsidiaries and remind them the missions and visions of the organization. This helps the group to raise the productivity in reaching the target. My reflection of leadership on my past experience highlights some of my weaknesses too. These weaknesses are that I have to work more on my communication skills and on my skills of motivating others. These skills would help me n achieving the objective of imparting power and influence on others. To frame the path of improving my skills, it is quite important for me to undertake certain practices and plans. These planned actions would help me in enhancing and promoting my qualities of being an ideal leader in future. In order to enhance communicating skills within oneself, it is important to socialize with people. This would help me in understanding various ways of persuading people, understanding their problems, providing them with certain beneficial advices and respecting their thoughts. A good leader is the one who is not just a good speaker, but also a good listener. Hence, it would be quite important for me to communicate with the employees. Communicating with them would help me in acknowledging their opinions regarding my leadership traits. This would even help me to attain their opinions regarding certain matters that are prevailing in the economy. Praising the employees and rewarding them for their hard work must be an important effort to be undertaken by me. This would help me in gaining the loyalty of the employees and their confidence towards my decisions. I would generate reward programs for the employees in order to motivate them.
